Q1 at Bata Group was a powerful reminder that the best way to understand a global business is to experience it locally.

Over the past few months, our CEO Panos Mytaros has been on the ground across Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Bangladesh, Malaysia, the Czech Republic, India, and Indonesia, connecting with our people, consumers, and communities.

Because real insight doesn’t come from reports, it comes from being there.

From meeting the Honourable Prime Minister in Bangladesh to discuss industry growth and long-term investment, to engaging with students at National Institute of Fashion Technology on the future of design and retail, these were moments that mattered.

In Chile, Indonesia, and Bolivia, there was strong momentum and alignment with local teams. In Indonesia, discussions focused on market strength and its role as a key production hub. In Bolivia, the standout was the energy of the market and the commitment of teams driving it forward.

Panos also visited our highest turnover store in Prague, located in a landmark Bata building owned for over 100 years, and joined celebrations marking 150 years of Bata, honouring founder Tomáš Baťa and the legacy that continues to shape our future.

This is what “One Team” looks like in action: global vision, grounded in local reality.
