Celebrating Founder's Day: A Global Day to Remember and Give Back with Bata Group
We are thrilled to announce the upcoming celebration of our annual Founder's Day on September 21, 2023. This occasion holds immense significance for us as it marks the anniversary of our establishment founded back in 1894 by the visionary Bata siblings - Thomas, Anna, and Anthony. Their ambition, innovation, and commitment to philanthropy laid the foundation for Bata to become a global leader in the shoe industry.
Founder's Day is not just a day to talk about our remarkable journey; it's also an opportunity for us to come together with our employees, customers, and communities worldwide in the spirit of unity. It's a celebration of our shared values.
Volunteerism lies at the core of Founder's Day through our Bata Children's Program (BCP). This program focuses on helping children reach their potential, and we do this in partnership with local people and institutions. Since 2011, the #BataBCP has already benefited over 400,000 children in the communities where we operate. It's a testament to our dedication to making a difference.
Throughout the month of September, we encourage all Bata employees across the globe to participate in BCP volunteering initiatives. This is a chance to engage with local communities, make a positive impact on the lives of children, and foster a sense of unity. Together, we can celebrate our history and achievements while creating lasting change.
PARTNERSHIP WITH SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGES
As part of our commitment to making a positive impact, we are excited to announce our global partnership with SOS Children’s Villages International, an organization dedicated to providing care, support, and opportunities to children and young people who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing it. Currently piloted in 6 countries, this initiative reinforces our commitment to supporting and empowering young people worldwide. Together, we aim to create transformative changes and provide opportunities for a brighter future.
